Senior Manager, Marketing
for B&H Publishing! This Senior Manager, Marketing will lead all the marketing efforts for B&H Publishing Group, a division of Lifeway Christian Resources, including all trade books, Academic resources, and our Bible publishing area. You will be responsible for establishing the strategy, plans, campaigns and overseeing the execution for our new releases and backlist titles as well as strategic emphases to achieve business objectives and revenue goals. You will lead a team of talented marketers and will be responsible for guiding and growing their knowledge and skills.
This role involves extensive cross-functional leadership, communications and partnership with other marketing leaders as well as publishing leaders and will require
project management skills as well as advanced people skills and emotional intelligence.
If you love marketing books and Bibles, then this could be a perfect role for you! We are looking for 10 years of marketing experience as well as 7-10 years of publishing experience.
Our ideal candidate would be someone with proven professional experience, success in managing and growing a team, excellence in building and strengthening cross-functional relationships, and can juggle a broad range of projects at once. We also would love someone with high capacity for strategic thinking while also balancing a view into the day-to-day tasks needed to be successful.

This is a remote position in the U.S. with occasional travel to Nashville for in-person team gatherings.

Responsibilities
Development and communication of the strategic marketing plan and priorities for each fiscal year to the larger brand management and marketing teams
Includes defining goals, personnel allocation, investment targets, capacity planning and key milestones
Manages a team of Marketing leaders and individual contributors to achieve goals
Ensures strategy teams deliver marketing plans for the purpose of implementation and activation, including: sales & channel marketing use, author/partner engagement, creative team ramp-up, etc.
Maintains strong partnerships with “client” and “service” teams across the organization
Ensures healthy workflow by leading the strategy team to comply with partner team processes, timelines, and documentation
Leads out in the partnership with Lifeway’s GTM Operations team in generating a baseline for evaluating marketing performance measurement
Implements a consistent marketing planning framework which can be utilized by each strategy team or support team, and able to be modified for unique assignments while providing a standard of excellence in planning across the team.
Some travel required, occassionally overnight
QualificationsMinimum Education Required Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or Communications
Seminary and/or advanced degree, preferred Experience, Skills, & Abilities Required
10 years Marketing
7-10 years Publishing Industry Marketing
7-10 years Experience in Christian publishing, strongly preferred
Marketing strategy
Amazon & Trade Partner Marketing Experience
Client management/author relations
B2B & B2C marketing
Direct and matrixed leadership
Knowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities Preferred
Publishing industry knowledge (Bibles & books)
