Program Overview: Led by Peraton Labs with external infrastructure support, this program conducts advanced research on cybersecurity, RF solutions, and quantum communications. Focus areas include developing next-generation tools for cyber-attack detection, network resilience, and small-form factor sensors, emphasizing cutting-edge technologies like machine learning and software-defined networking.
About The Role: We seek an experienced Senior Research Scientist to support fully cleared research efforts in Maryland. You will work on innovative projects in computer network defense, secure-by-design techniques, cyber operations, and experimentation platforms. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and prototyping Software Defined Radio (SDR) solutions for wireless systems, researching concepts, developing solutions, and communicating research findings through presentations and publications. This position requires on-site work at our College Park, MD or Laurel, MD locations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience with BS/BA; 6 years with MS/MA; 3 years with Ph.D.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in developing SDR solutions
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- U.S. Citizenship
- Active TS/SCI w/ Poly clearance
Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Open Air Interface (OAI) or srsLTE software stacks
- Experience with LTE standards
Salary Range: $146,000 - $234,000, based on experience and other factors.
