As our Senior SEO Analyst, you’ll define and execute an organic search strategy for both B2B and B2C ecommerce, collaborating with content, design, product, and development teams to embed SEO best practices throughout our digital ecosystem. You should be well-versed in technical SEO, on-page/off-page optimization, local SEO, and link-building, with a proven record of driving measurable growth in rankings, organic traffic, and domain authority.
Key Responsibilities:
SEO Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and refine a comprehensive SEO roadmap aligned with company KPIs, focusing on increasing organic traffic, improving keyword rankings, and strengthening domain authority.
- Identify target keywords across multiple buyer segments (B2B and B2C), ensuring balanced keyword strategies that encompass short-tail, mid-tail, and long-tail queries.
- Segment and optimize the product catalog, category pages, blog content, and landing pages to address distinct customer needs and improve conversion rates.
Technical SEO & Site Health:
- Conduct regular technical audits of the website to ensure optimal crawlability, indexability, site speed, mobile-friendliness, and structured data markup.
- Collaborate with developers and UX teams to implement technical improvements, fix errors, and maintain best-in-class site architecture.
- Keep abreast of algorithm updates and employ data-driven tactics to maintain or improve domain authority, backlink quality, and overall search visibility.
On-Page & Content Optimization:
- Partner with the content team to create and optimize product descriptions, blog articles, guides, and other digital assets to drive organic growth.
- Implement strategic internal linking structures, meta tags, schema markups, and headings that align with SEO best practices and brand voice.
- Identify content gaps and new opportunities for content expansion, ensuring the site addresses user intent at every stage of the buyer’s journey.
Off-Page SEO & Link Building:
- Develop and execute scalable link-building strategies to acquire high-quality, industry-relevant backlinks, including outreach campaigns to publishers, influencers, and authoritative sites.
- Manage local SEO initiatives, including claiming, optimizing, and maintaining Google Business Profiles, as well as ensuring NAP consistency across directories and platforms.
- Monitor the backlink profile, disavow toxic links, and maintain compliance with search engine webmaster guidelines.
Analytics, Reporting & Continuous Improvement:
- Utilize tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Moz to track performance, monitor keyword rankings, analyze competitor strategies, and identify areas of improvement.
- Produce regular reports on key metrics (organic sessions, keyword positions, conversion rates, domain authority, etc.) to inform stakeholders and guide strategy refinements.
- Continuously test new SEO tactics and approaches, leveraging A/B testing where appropriate, and refine strategies based on performance insights.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Thought Leadership:
- Work closely with the Marketing and E-Commerce teams to align SEO efforts with broader campaigns, product launches, promotional calendars, and branding guidelines.
- Educate internal teams on SEO best practices, emerging trends, and algorithm changes, fostering a company-wide culture of organic search awareness.
- Stay updated on industry shifts, competitor tactics, and new SEO tools/technologies to ensure the company remains on the cutting edge of search optimization.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on SEO experience in an e-commerce environment, ideally with both B2C and B2B markets.
- Proven track record of increasing organic traffic, improving keyword rankings, and elevating domain authority for e-commerce storefronts.
- Strong knowledge of SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz) and proficiency with CMS platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, or WooCommerce).
- Demonstrated expertise in technical SEO, including schema markup, site speed optimization, core web vitals, and mobile-first optimization.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to draw actionable insights from data and communicate these findings effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of evolving SEO best practices, industry trends, and search engine algorithm updates.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and a keen eye for detail.
