About the role
Role: Sr. UX Designer
Location: Austin, TX (Remote role with possible on-site meetings required)
Contract: 4+ Months
Minimum Requirements
- 8 Required: Experience in software product development, digital design, UX/UI or a related field
- 8 Required: Designing mockups and/or wireframes that conform to UX best practices
- 8 Required: A portfolio of user research, visual design, and usability studies that demonstrates a high level of professionalism
- 8 Required: Experience conducting user and usability research
- 5 Required: Demonstrated strong writing and organization skills
- 5 Required: Demonstrated strong communication and facilitation skills
- 4 Required: Direct experience leading large-scale UX/UI efforts
- 4 Required: Documented experience developing wireframes, mockups, and prototypes in Figma or comparable design software
- 3 Required: Experience ensuring designs and websites conform to federal accessibility guidelines
- 3 Preferred: Documented work experience with the issue tracking software "Atlassian Jira"
- 2 Preferred: Documented experience working for or closely with TEA or another state or local education agency
