The ServiceNow Developer will be responsible for development, configuration, and support within ServiceNow, while providing input on design and developmental best practices. The successful candidate will work with management and support staff to implement new features and enhancements to meet the ever-changing needs.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing the wide range of projects associated with the systems development team, verifying schedules, timelines, scopes, and deliverables while also developing on the ServiceNow platform.

CLASS DESCRIPTION: Performs senior professional level technology and communication services work, which may include supervisory responsibility, under general supervision from an administrative or technical superior. Work includes maintaining, supporting, and using the multiple and complex operating system components and subsystems used by the Data Operation Center or performing highly complex programming analysis and systems design. Serves as a point of contact for support, administration, and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform and associated applications.
Works directly with end users to resolve support issues.
Monitors health, usage, and overall compliance of ServiceNow and its applications.
Develops and implements new configurations and customizations for ServiceNow.
Develops system integrations and processes automation within the ServiceNow instance and other Information Services applications.
Coordinates and facilitates application and platform upgrades.
Creates ServiceNow reports and dashboards.
Implements new ServiceNow modules based on the needs of the county. Performs system and integration testing.
Authors and maintains technical documentation.
Responsible for the continuous review of new ServiceNow modules, as well as other commercially available software to ensure the ServiceNow platform and tools remain current.
Provides updates, status, and completion information to tickets in the work queue regarding current assigned incidents, resolution efforts, and projects.
Creates forms and processes for different use cases per requirements.
Provides creative solutions to complex problems by using the out-of-the-box tools available.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree and four (4) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Experience supporting a ServiceNow implementation.
Must be a creative problem solver with the ability to think outside the box.
Experience working within the software development lifecycle.
Experience in SCRUM methodology.
Possess knowledge of ServiceNow applications and their function.
Proactive in troubleshooting problems, with the ability to work issues to completion.
App Engine/Studio experience is a plus.
Integration Hub Experience is a plus.
ITIL Foundations Certification.
Certified ServiceNow Systems Administrator or ServiceNow Certified Application Developer is a plus.
Experience working in Rome and above versions of ServiceNow releases.
Ability to manage projects both large and small.
Able to pick up and learn new technologies quickly.
Understands the function of Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts, and ACLs including advanced scripting of each.
Understands Notifications, UI Pages, UI Macros, Formatters, etc., in ServiceNow.
Maintains an understanding of ServiceNow modules and software licensing functionality to ensure ongoing compliance.
Background in SharePoint online and O365 administration is a plus.
