Primary Purpose
The Marketing Coordinator collaborates closely with the Director of Marketing/Business Development, Assistant Director of Marketing, and Mall Manager to develop and execute mall marketing programs. This role involves implementing community-based programs, managing local and tourism marketing initiatives, fostering positive retailer and community relations, and handling SBV administrative duties.
Principal Responsibilities
- Act as a liaison for tenants, conveying SBV initiatives such as Tourism Initiatives, Events, and special promotions.
- Collaborate with the Director of Marketing to formulate and implement a social media strategy across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Twitter. Track metrics, experiment with new methods, and foster audience growth and engagement.
- Monitor, respond to, and cultivate community feedback on social media using tools like YEXT to enhance engagement and customer loyalty.
- Adhere to policies and procedures related to marketing initiatives within the center.
- Assist in managing center events, promotions, and sponsorships, including pre and post-event follow-up, and contribute to result measurement.
- Maintain the appearance of common areas, marketing materials, signage, and displays, ensuring all information is current and relevant.
- Support marketing initiatives targeting tenants and customers to improve the center's perception.
- Contribute to the execution of the Customer Service Initiative, collaborating with various departments.
- Participate in community events, networking, and outreach efforts.
- Manage collateral for events, promotions, and sponsorships, including ordering, installation, and removal.
- Provide administrative support through reports, recaps, and surveys related to center activities.
- Support administrative processes for sponsorships and events, including contracts, proof of performance, and revenue forecasting.
- Increase retailer participation in events, tourism programs, and promotions.
- Assist in preparing contracts and purchase orders.
- Manage the mall website, oversee social media communications, create newsletters, and develop collateral material.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging platforms, and competitor activities.
- Provide strategic advice and contribute to marketing strategies, tourism programming, and retailer engagement.
- Support coordination for trade shows and tourism initiatives.
- Act as the primary contact for Shop and Stay Packages, Group Tours, and hotel programs.
- Assist in tourism voucher coordination, follow-up, and outreach.
- Track tourist traffic, including groups and independent travelers.
- Coordinate group and tourism programs, collaborating with ADMBD.
- Support team efforts to achieve center goals.
Minimum Qualifications
- College degree preferred
- At least 3 years of experience in sales, sponsorship, marketing, event management, or budgeting
- Knowledge of retail management, marketing, tourism, social media, or communication
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Financial management and budgeting skills
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Flexibility to work weekends and evenings
- Bilingual skills are a plus
