Business Analyst/UX Lead, Woodlawn, MD/Remote
Our client is seeking a Business Analyst/UX Lead for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Woodlawn, MD.
NOTE: Currently, employees are working remotely due to COVID. They will return to the Woodlawn office once restrictions are lifted.
Description
The primary function of the Business Analyst/UX Lead will be to manage activities related to defining reporting requirements and interpreting data. S/he will validate the usefulness of existing reports, gather additional requirements, and coordinate with CMS on development priorities. The role includes recommending improvements to the reporting strategy, transitioning towards user-centric design, evaluating existing tools, suggesting report distribution strategies, proposing QA procedures, and end-user training techniques. Our client provides agile requirements gathering, UX design, ATDD, DevOps, automated testing, software deployment, documentation, support, and knowledge transfer.
Responsibilities
- Elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate requirements and business processes among stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain process documentation and provide feedback.
- Create clear requirements documentation, including business, functional, and nonfunctional needs.
- Develop process models, use cases, and scenarios.
- Facilitate group requirements reviews.
- Manage requirements and artifacts using tools like Collabtool, Serena RM, and SharePoint.
- Support program and project leadership with expertise.
- Collaborate in an agile environment, participating in design sprints, prototyping, and tracking work in JIRA.
- Conduct qualitative studies to gather user feedback, analyze results, and communicate findings.
- Create user journeys, personas, and sitemaps based on research.
- Develop UI sketches, wireframes, and prototypes for various devices.
- Design information architectures and taxonomies for complex healthcare applications.
- Present design concepts and iterate based on feedback.
- Work with business analysts to develop user interface requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Determine success metrics post-launch and translate into requirements and actions.
- Manage user experience throughout project lifecycle.
- Promote usability best practices and help define enterprise UX standards.
- Use UX tools like Figma or Balsamiq to create high-fidelity wireframes.
- Address Section 508 accessibility issues.
- Maintain confidentiality per security policies.
Requirements
- BA or BS in human-computer interaction, design, or equivalent experience.
- 8-10 years in roles like BA, UX designer, or information architect on large applications.
- Experience working in Agile teams for at least one year.
- Experience with responsive design for at least one year.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Leadership and resource management abilities.
- Proficiency in eliciting requirements through various techniques.
- Experience with Business Intelligence tools and healthcare systems preferred.
