JOB SUMMARY
The Social Media Communications Coordinator is responsible for integrating NCC’s digital communications plans into the organization's overall communications strategy. The role will involve managing and organizing our social media content and digital communications, planning, scheduling, coordinating posts, and ensuring that our content aligns with the NCC brand strategy. The coordinator often works with writers and content creators to produce and publish engaging content. The coordinator focuses on administrative and strategic aspects of content management that support our digital brand engagement strategy and implement processes for better audience experiences.
As the Coordinator, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop inspirational messages about NCC services and organizational goals. This includes monitoring engagement and analyzing performance metrics focusing on social media channels to integrate all efforts into NCC's communication strategy. Your role will also involve various external relations outreach to build local, state, and national attention to NCC's brand. The coordinator will identify pathways to improve NCC's Search Engine Optimization (SEO) metrics to position the brand and enhance social community involvement, partnerships, and engagement. With strong writing skills and knowledge of social media trends and best practices, you will be an asset to the External Relations Department, supporting NCC's brand and communication strategies. Your position will report directly to the Vice President of External Affairs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Content Creation
Integrated Communications: Develop and coordinate messages across multiple social media channels within NCC (Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, LinkedIn, Vimeo).
Create and curate content for social media campaigns, including text, images, videos, and other multimedia that align with NCC's brand voice and organizational goals.
Schedule and post NCC calendar cadence.
Provide a weekly, monthly, and annual analytic report to capture Key Performance Indicator (KPI), Relative Performance Indicator (RPI), and Engagement metrics.
Monitor up-to-date social media trends, platform updates, and emerging technologies to ensure all social media content aligns with NCC's brand voice, value, and organizational goals.
Content Creation: Coordinate with the VP of External Affairs regarding crisis responses.
Write for various content formats, including multiple assets, announcements (external/internal), and leadership messages.
Proficient in creating informative content for different platforms is preferred.
Maintains a deep understanding of organizational branding, style guides, processes, and protocols.
Proofread marketing collaterals for brand consistency.
Work with supporting staff and consultants to draft social media, website, and external communications content.
Attend meetings related to communications and marketing initiatives.
Strategic Planning
Digital Marketing: Identify and coordinate partnerships with social media influencers to expand reach and brand reputation.
Engage with social media communities to identify opportunities to improve NCC interactions and messaging
Draft the social media plan and provide quarterly and annual reports on NCC's strategy.
Attend team meetings to identify creative engagement campaigns to position NCC services within the education community support services, including health and nutrition programs.
Support NCC marketing campaigns, including email marketing, website, advertisement, and promotional events.
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in communications, PR, Journalism, or a related field
Proficiency in utilizing social media management and analyzing metrics (Google, Brandwatch, Hootsuite) (2-4 years)
Previous experience creating different content formats
Proven experience in creating engaging content for various social media platforms in a marketing/communication role (2- 5 years)
Strong writing and editing skills
Strong organizational project management skills to handle multiple campaigns and deadlines
Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM database entry. Salsa Labs experience preferred
Proficiency in graphic design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva)
Understand how to apply Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices
Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment to prioritize and meet deadlines
