Read the overview of this opportunity to understand what skills, including and relevant soft skills and software package proficiencies, are required.Location: Portland OregonHours: Full TimeJob Summary Position/Title:Special Projects Executive ProducerDetails:The Special Projects Executive Producer will oversee a team that produces news content for overall fairness, balance, and accuracy for news franchises, sponsored content, political content, and other categories as assigned by the News Director.Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will help produce and supervise team members with brand-reinforcing content. The EP will oversee the production of all special programming. You will work closely with producers and reporters on daily selection and coverage. The EP will coordinate the Special Projects calendar and track coverage and promotion of coverage including Town Halls, Debates, and will be involved in news specials. As a newsroom leader, the expectation is that the Executive Producer will lead by example.Oversee special projects branded efforts across the newsroom to ensure we are serving our local communities by sharing relevant information to alert, protect, and empower our audiences.Supervise producers, reporters, photographers, and editors, as well as review scripts and provide feedback to encourage powerful storytelling.Manage the newsroom and handle breaking news situations to empower and grow our audiences.Collaborate with News Directors and other station managers to create special segments.Plan and oversee continuity into upcoming newscast content, and special content, including digital efforts.Skills Required:
