Job Description
We're Hiring: Social Media Manager at Spear Education!
Are you passionate about building brands and driving engagement through strategic social media? Spear Education - the leader in dental education and practice management solutions - is looking for a
hands-on, results-focused Social Media Manager
to own and elevate our organic and paid social presence.
In this Scottsdale-based hybrid role, you'll develop and execute full-funnel strategies that reach our key audiences, manage paid budgets, lead employee advocacy programs, and bring Spear's brand voice to life across platforms like LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and beyond.
You'll be a key partner to our Brand and Growth Marketing teams - helping drive awareness, engagement, and qualified leads - and you'll have the opportunity to collaborate closely with our world-class faculty, speakers, and dental industry influencers.
What You'll Do: Design and execute a comprehensive, audience-first social media strategy, balancing brand awareness, community engagement, and lead generation. Create and manage both organic content and paid ad campaigns - including audience targeting, budget management, A/B testing, and performance analysis. Develop a real-time content calendar and collaborate with designers, videographers, and event marketers to produce thumb-stopping content. Launch and oversee an employee advocacy program and influencer/ambassador initiatives to expand Spear's social reach authentically. Track and report on performance metrics - including engagement, conversion rates, and ROI - and recommend optimizations. Play an active role in Spear's public relations strategy - writing, pitching, and posting to amplify brand visibility. Engage with the community, responding to comments and inquiries in a timely, brand-right way. Attend events to capture content, which may include some weekends or evenings. Qualifications
What You Bring:
5+ years of experience leading organic and paid social media efforts, ideally across multiple platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Reddit, Twitter/X). Strong copywriting and content development skills - you know how to write for brand voice and audience intent. Working knowledge of SEO, customer journey mapping, and lead generation best practices. Experience managing budgets, executing social ad campaigns, and interpreting analytics to drive insights. Confidence representing the brand both online and in-person - including working events on our Scottsdale campus. Proactive, collaborative, detail-oriented, and highly creative. Bonus: Experience in the dental, healthcare, or education industries is a plus (but not required). Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field. Proficiency in social media scheduling/management tools (e.g.,Sprout, HubSpot and HootSuite) and analytics platforms. Demonstrated success leading integrated social media campaigns tied to measurable business results. Location:
Hybrid - based out of our Scottsdale, AZ office. This role requires some weekends and evenings in order to support our on-campus events.
