Wellcom Worldwide are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and conceptual Designer to join one of our fast-paced onsite clients. This new full-time role will be based at the clients central New York offices working directly with the clients Creative Director and global creative departments to execute design projects, from concept to delivery, of print, digital, motion, and ad hoc/special projects.
This Designer will have the opportunity to work within existing luxury brand guidelines while also elevating the design for the evolution of the clients work and external marketing.
Qualifications:
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects - your skills in creative concepting and execution should speak for themselves
- 4+ years of experience working in a design related role, preferably within the arts or luxury industry
- Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, AfterEffects, Premiere Pro, etc)
- Proficiency in Figma
- Proficiency across Microsoft and Google suites
Key tasks:
- Conceptual thinking: All ideas welcome. If you can make it, we'll pitch it.
- Print design concepting and execution, including high-end sales catalogues, single-subject volumes, and other client and public-facing publications.
- Digital design concepting and execution, including E-catalogues, social assets, digital display assets, video, website landing pages, and email assets
- Applying newly formed client brand guidelines to print and digital assets
- Leading on design and concepting, presenting ideas, incorporating feedback, and executing stakeholder vision
- Maintaining a meticulous attention to detail, from checking briefs to implementing feedback and adhering to brand guidelines and brief details
- Understanding motion design - the role wont necessarily involve animation, but we would like someone who can think through animation that enhances everything from landing pages to client social feeds.
Ideal Candidate is:
- Passionate for the arts and graphic design
- Comfortable with direct client feedback, including multiple rounds of revisions
- Excellent at communication, both verbal and written
- Organized and efficient in a fast paced environment
- Able to manage multiple clients, projects and the subsequent communications
- Consistent in work quality irrespective of project size
- Able to listen carefully, digest information and confidently present your points of view in both an internal team and client situation.
- A natural problem solver and innovator that can find a solution or educated response to any client requirement or request
- Inspired by a strong understanding of color, typography, layout, illustration and industry standard production to create the best work possible
- Abreast of current trends, ideas and innovations that can help our client achieve their goals
Details:
- The Designer will report to the Account Director and will be supported by an experienced team of content creators and subject matter experts
- Salary range is $80,000-$100,000 commensurate with experience
- Role is Hybrid - expected in office 3 days a week in midtown Manhattan
