BUILD PARTNERSHIPS - THINK BEYOND - DO THE RIGHT THING
Your new role: Develop and execute a comprehensive brand and communication strategy that align with Hays Americas goals, working in collaboration with the content team, global counterparts and local operations/sales and People & Culture levels. Establish, monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure effectiveness of brand and communications initiatives and providing recommendations for future improvements. Build effective working relationships with external vendors and key operators to drive engagement and support brand & communication strategies. Establish relationships with global counterparts to share best practice and lead the Americas marketing agenda in the global Hays Social, PR & Comms and Brand & Creative competency groups. Collaborate with wider team and business to develop and execute campaigns and promotions that align with the company's marketing and brand objectives, driving the social, partnership, event and PR elements. Leverage, manage, and optimize the most effective social media and communication channels across the Americas to meet our goals, leading content creation, curation, and distribution, focusing on employee advocacy. Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends and technologies to improve the company's online presence. Write and edit press releases, media pitches, communication toolkits and other PR materials to communicate key messages to target audience. Increase profile of Hays' senior executives for comment and insight on key industry and employment issues to position Hays as go-to-recruiter in the market. Manage crisis communications and issue management strategies to protect the company's reputation, working with the Senior Director, and ensuring leadership awareness as required. Identify and secure partnership and sponsorship opportunities, including events, that drive brand awareness and revenue growth, working with the wider marketing team and business to maximize return. Manage the end-to-end planning and execution of sponsorship, partnership & events, including coordinating with vendors, managing budgets, and overseeing logistics and leading the sponsorship and event processes. Ensure new employees are effectively inducted, trained and coached on best practice social and TOC as it aligns with their respective roles, notable senior leaders and needed for media engagement. Accountable for ensuring adherence to the brand guidelines, encouraging the use of correct templates, assets and Brand Portal amongst marketing teams, suppliers and the broader business. Act as a champion for 'tone of voice' - encourage the use of our strong tone of voice in all communications to differentiate ourselves from our competitors. Create a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture where all people are respected as individuals. Manage individual team and performance effectively by clearing communicating expectations, regularly monitoring, notable setting of team objectives, conducting performance appraisals and rewarding and recognizing employees.
What we're looking for:
Essential: Strong background in external brand and communication strategy and delivery in the US, with the ability to craft compelling messaging, events and content for a variety of audiences, but with a focus on B2B. Proven track record of executing successful campaigns and events that have generated positive engagement, media coverage and increased brand awareness and revenue. Digital and social media savvy, with a strong grasp on the evolving digital media landscape, algorithms and best practices. Knowledge of media relations and experience with media outreach. Attention to detail and analytic skills, with the ability to monitor and analyze media coverage and adjust strategies as needed. Proven experience in managing & developing people. Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence. Strategic thinking and understanding of business impact across departments. Able to prioritize among competing requests in a fast-paced environment; embrace change; and demonstrate diplomacy, professionalism and a positive attitude.
Desired: Experience in the recruitment and workforce solutions industry. Knowledge of STEM fields and Enterprise client needs. Familiarity with North American and LATAM markets, and existing relationships with business media.
