As a Sr. Art Director at Device Brand Studio, you will lead creative efforts and campaigns across our device lineup, driving conceptual development and creative execution for major product launches and brand initiatives. You'll present work to senior leaders, product marketing managers, and executives, collaborating with creative teams to develop high-impact campaigns that span brand, digital, broadcast, audio, social media, and emerging channels.
This role combines strategic art direction with hands-on design. You'll guide creative teams in crafting compelling visual solutions across digital, motion, photography, and integrated campaigns, while ensuring brand consistency and meeting critical deadlines. Working closely with project managers and creative directors, you'll help establish timelines and lead the creation of breakthrough concepts, translating the complex and technical into memorable experiences for our customers.
Key job responsibilities
- You have at least 10+ years of design and art direction experience with an expert ability to develop innovative creative work across a broad range of media.
- You are well-versed in graphic design, branding, photography, CGI, video and art direction as it pertains to print, digital, and motion.
- You possess excellent design and conceptual skills accompanied by the ability to guide and evaluate, and if necessary, redirect creative development.
- You are naturally curious and passionate about design—with a keen awareness of the evolving landscape of available tools, technologies, resources, and trends.
- You are a self-starting art director that collaborates well with a team to find simple solutions to complex problems.
- You're a strong communicator with great presentation skills that is able to articulate ideas clearly, lead healthy debate, and accept directional feedback. Must be able to communicate effectively both up and down a creative organization.
- You have in-depth knowledge of the creative development process, providing timely and helpful feedback to improve creative solutions, and producing work on schedule. Must be able to effectively lead junior creative staff members, vendors, freelancers, and photographers as needed.
- Solid organizational skills to file work in a manner that can be shared with the team.
- Excellent skills with design software, primarily the Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree
- 8+ years of driving compelling creative strategy and execution at an agency or in-house creative team experience
- Experience presenting creative concepts effectively to senior executives
- Experience managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlines
- Experience developing digital campaigns for O&O channels that have global scale
- Knowledge of typography, design principles, trends and best practices across digital and print
- Knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Keynote
- A creative portfolio or work samples that show a history of boundary-pushing art direction
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience developing cross-functional relationships with product, consumer research and marketing teams to develop strategy and consumer insights that drive compelling creative executions
- Experience leading creative development of innovative creative from concept to delivery
- Experience managing creative (internal team of designers, copywriters, external agencies and freelancers)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $210,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
