Summary:
The Chickasaw Nation Department of Health, Division of Research and Public Health provides outreach and engagement to internal and external entities in order to promote health and wellness. This position supports efforts to engage families, communities, and other programs to establish and maintain a network of tribal and community resources. This position also coordinates work for communication pieces for health promotion and education.
Responsibilities:* Oversees the management of grant technical requirements, compliance with grant scope of work, monitoring and reporting within the division of Research and Public Health* Develops yearly action plans to ensure project is on time and on budget to successfully implement prevention activities* Coordinates the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of promotion grant project activities performed the Health Communication and Multimedia Specialists* Assists the Health Communication and Multimedia Specialists to create accurate, consistent and timely promotion and awareness messaging* Maintains records of program contacts and event registrations, attendances, and evaluation forms through the use of established database* Manages stakeholder engagement events and follows up as needed with participants* Assists with scheduling and logistics for meetings, workshops, and other events* Coordinates routine health promotion meetings and other stakeholder meetings as appropriate, including scheduling locations, providing information to attendees, and recording minutes* Performs data entry and validity checks for evaluation activities and post visit follow up phone calls* Assists with recordkeeping and preparing monthly activity reports, evaluation updates, presentations, and other program documentation* Regularly monitors inventory levels of program supplies and reorders when needed* Assists health promotion staff with community activities, data collection activities, and cultural activities* Works with project staff, Research and Public Health staff, and internal, local, county, and state agencies to expand the reach and scope of community-based resources for health promotion and education* Participates in strategic planning activities and work plan development as they relate to program implementation and execution* Facilitates trainings and team building activities* Attends events and engages with community stakeholders regularly to maintain relationships and gather knowledge related to the program goals and objectives* Identifies problems and works with the Division manager to determine the necessary corrective action concerning programmatic and budgetary issues* Works with the Research and Public Health leadership to develop a sustainability plan for all related grant activities and staffing* Works with finance to gather information necessary to report to funding agencies on current grant programs* Complies with all grants reporting as required by funding agencies* Applies evaluation results to improve program functions* Works on special projects and ensures timely completion* Provides first class customer service - courteous and helpful to all internal and external customer types- Answers questions in a courteous and professional manner- Partners with internal and external services as needed to ensure appropriate referral is made- Greets and engages with a smile- Determines and meets needs- Seeks positive experience and outcomes* Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities* Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types- Shares responsibilities for maintaining adequate supplies and equipment- Maintains general upkeep of work area and maintains a safe environment- Observes and addresses potential environmental hazards and risks- Maintains and promotes professionalism- Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics- Adheres to Chickasaw Nation dress code standards- May provide break coverage for others as assigned- May augment staff in other areas as needed based on staffing and needs ratio in regularly assigned unit* Maintains knowledge of and follows all laws, rules, regulations, policies and SOPs for assigned area, e.g. MICS, TICS, hospital standards, health codes, food sanitation, accounting principles, etc.* Performs all other duties as assigned

Essential:* Master's degree in public health or communications required* Bachelor's degree required in public health, prevention or related field
