Position Overview
Responsible for developing and implementing effective search engine optimization strategies to drive organic traffic and improve TruGreen’s online presence. Monitor and analyze website performance using SEO tools and analytics platforms, providing regular reports and recommendations for optimization. Collaborate with content creators and digital marketing teams to develop and optimize high-quality, keyword-rich content for improved organic visibility.
The right candidate will quickly gain a comprehensive understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of TruGreen’s digital properties (website, blog, landing pages) and flesh out SEO strategies for improvement to help our company gain website traffic, increase sales/leads and improve overall engagement. Responsibilities
Develop and execute comprehensive search engine optimization strategies to achieve business objectives
Own optimization for ranking through research, analysis and testing
Conduct thorough keyword research to identify relevant target keywords and phrases
Work within the content marketing team to drive SEO in digital content creation
Optimize site content to ensure alignment with target keywords and enhance search engine crawlability
Maintain an in-depth understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking factors
Leverage data analytics and SEO tools to devise strategies to increase organic traffic
Identify technical SEO issues and coordinate with the web development team to implement solutions for improvement
Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO
Track and analyze site traffic to assess the effectiveness of SEO strategies and make data-driven recommendations
Report on current processes and scope for improvement based on diligent analysis
Perform SEO audits and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and rank above competitors
Serve as in-house subject matter expert and manage relationship with external agency partner(s)
Stay abreast of emerging SEO trends and technologies
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in marketing, digital marketing or a related field
5-7 years of proven experience in an SEO-focused role
Prior experience with SEO for local businesses and Google My Business optimization required
Proficiency with SEO and analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Semrush, Google Keyword Planner, etc.
Relevant SEO certifications (e.g. Google, HubSpot and/or Semrush)
Experience with content management systems (CMS) and website optimization platforms
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to demonstrate technical and professional knowledge and skills
In-depth knowledge of SEO best practices, search engine algorithms and ranking factors
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects at once
Ability to work independently and also collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints
Prior experience as an SEO specialist and/or content writer in a related field a plus

Pay Ranges
$79,175.00 - $131,958.00
This range is based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate’s skills, experience, and geographic location, the expected quality and quantity of work, and internal pay alignment, as needed. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the pay range. The upper end of the range will generally be reserved for candidates with extensive experience. An employee’s pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law. In addition to monetary compensation, we offer benefits, including Medical/Dental/Vision insurance and Company-matching 401(k) in addition to other programs and perks.
