Jewelry Television - Vice President of Strategy
Position Overview
The Vice President of Strategy will be responsible for developing and executing the company's overall strategic plan, including analyzing market trends, identifying growth opportunities, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement strategic initiatives, and providing strategic guidance to senior leadership to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives; essentially striving to create the company's long-term vision and direction.
This role involves utilizing big data modeling to drive customer insights, optimizing pricing strategies, and identifying new market opportunities. The Vice President of Strategy will use their expertise to develop insights and recommendations and additionally collaborate with executive leadership and their teams to motivate and engage them, ensuring data-driven decision-making aligns with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Execution:
Develop and execute long-term business strategies leveraging big data insights, translating recommendations into pragmatic and realistic actions. Identify growth opportunities in product development, marketing, and customer acquisition. Align strategic goals with market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive analysis. Establish objectives to track the progress of strategic initiatives and make necessary adjustments to optimize performance.
Big Data Analytics & Modeling
Oversee the development of predictive analytics models to enhance demand forecasting, pricing strategies, and inventory management. Utilize available tools to analyze customer purchasing patterns and optimize future product offerings and direct marketing campaigns. Leverage data to assess ROI on marketing spend and customer engagement strategies.
Customer Experience & Personalization
Enhance the customer journey through data-driven strategies. Utilize predictive analytics to improve product recommendations, loyalty programs, and customer retention. Collaborate with digital and e-commerce teams to refine UX/UI.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration
Work with internal team to develop and implement strategic data models. Present insights and recommendations to executive leadership and stakeholders. Collaborate closely with senior leadership, department heads, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic priorities and gain buy-in for new initiatives.
Technology & Innovation Integration
Stay up to date with the latest advancements in big data, AI, and business intelligence tools and determine best options for the Company. Identify and implement best-in-class data analytics platforms to drive sales, efficiency, and innovation.
Market & Consumer Insights
Conduct competitive trend analysis in the jewelry and luxury retail industry (or with categories being considered). Utilize data-driven segmentation to enhance customer loyalty programs and improve retention. Monitor and optimize omnichannel retail strategies, including e-commerce and other potential customer experiences. Conduct market research to identify emerging trends in the jewelry industry. Analyze competitor positioning, pricing strategies, and customer preferences
Qualifications & Experience
MBA preferred. 10+ years of experience in strategy, analytics, or business intelligence, preferably in the areas of retail, jewelry, or e-commerce. Expertise in big data modeling, AI-driven analytics, and machine learning applications. Strong knowledge of data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and analytics platforms (Python, R, SQL, Hadoop, Spark). Understanding of digital marketing analytics and omnichannel customer engagement. Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and driving data-informed strategic decisions. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to influence stakeholders and drive results. Ideal candidate will have experience in strategy consulting. In addition, at least three years of experience with Bain & Company, Boston Consulting Group, or McKinsey & Company is preferred.
