This position is able to work fully remote (must reside in State of Michigan), hybrid, or onsite at our East Lansing headquarters.Compensation & Benefits:Salary Range:Internal Communications Specialist I - $54,000-67,000+ dependent on experienceInternal Communications Specialist II - $60,000-75,000+ dependent on experienceSenior Internal Communications Specialist - $67,000-85,000+ dependent on experience100% Company-Paid Health, Dental, Vision, Life, and Long-Term Disability PremiumsUp to 26 days of PTO within your first year, as well as Volunteer Time Off & 11 Paid Holidays401(k) with an immediate 2:1 MatchTuition Reimbursement12 Weeks of Paid Parental LeaveEssential Duties & Responsibilities:Communicates MSUFCU's values and culture internally, fostering employee engagement throughout the organization.Writes, edits, reviews, and ensures consistency of messaging across internal platforms.Reviews and edits internal communications prior to dissemination for accuracy, clarity, and tone of voice.Develops creative content to build understanding of processes, policies, and decisions.Proactively identifies engaging stories and messages connected to strategic goals.Serves as lead for emergency content and communications response to employees.Plans, responds, writes, and edits internal communication to drive employee engagement.Reviews and proofreads material to ensure consistency in messaging and adherence to brand standards across all content and channels.Manages monthly employee newsletter content.Organizes, monitors, creates, and publishes content.Collaborates with Intranet Specialist to write and design content for the intranet.Develops and maintains key message platforms for a variety of initiatives and topics.Identifies new trends and methods of communications that can be introduced to communicate more effectively with employees; making recommendations to Internal Communications management.Contributes to the development and maintenance of internal digital content guidance documents, including the style guide, image guidelines, audience personas, and others as needed.Coordinates tasks, teams, and timelines toward developing and maintaining content, including facilitating discussions with stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop content.Collaborates with stakeholders to support strategic communication project needs.Implements technology and software solutions as needed and works with stakeholders to maintain communication processes.Ensures content is reviewed and approved in a timely and efficient manner in line with our processes.Evaluates requests and works with management to develop effective communication plans that align with business goals.Develops and implements communication plans and strategies, including distributing messages through various channels (e.g., email, Intranet, SharePoint, etc.).Supports the development of strategic communications plans, including identifying target audiences and their needs; developing communications goals, objectives, and targets; and designing strategies to meet project goals.Maintains and plans an internal communication calendar to prioritize and adapt to organizational needs.
