We are looking for a creative, organized, and energetic 75% music teacher who has a focus on voice to teach grades 6 through 12 in voice, general music, and music theory. In addition:Educate students in music that includes diverse genres and styles from various periods and culturesEnsure middle school students build skills in listening and playing cohesive with a group, read notated music, and develop the strong sense of maintained focus needed to make live music with othersTeach general music theory and curriculumOrganize and prepare students for ensemble performances throughout the school yearProvide instruction on proper vocal technique and run the Middle School and Upper School chorusOrganize and help to drive school performances for the Upper and Middle School students, further developing the students' skills around understanding and performing live musicPrepare and lead student performances at all-school events such as Founder's Day, 8th Grade Promotion, and Commencement

Key Qualifications:Prior teaching experience and/or commensurate professional experienceBachelor's degree in Music Education or related field required; Master's degree in MusicEducation or related field is preferredBasic piano proficiency is requiredAt least three years of classroom teaching experience in music is preferred

The yearly salary for this position ranges from $62025 to $93750 assuming a part time position.
