Our client is a prominent East Coast design firm focused exclusively on healthcare architecture. After almost 15 years with the firm, and having their most successful year yet, one for their New York Studio Directors is retiring and this has created an exciting opportunity to hire another accomplished Studio Director to take over and further cement their presence in this market. This role is project and operations focused, managing four key metrics; people, client service, financial performance and business development.
The Role
The ideal candidate will lead and manage architectural clients and their project teams’ interactions, providing a distinct level of customer service by fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability. The role brings together the people, process and business to align their capabilities and expertise and bring value to their clients. The Studio Director provides leadership from project inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and be a resource for a mix of ground up, greenfield, master plan, department and complex renovation
- Ensures project roles and responsibilities are correctly staffed
- Understands customer expectations and business goals
- Ensures financial success of each engagement
- Identifies upcoming target business opportunities
- Cultivates a collaborative studio environment
- Relevant architecture degree and substantial experience leading and running complex, healthcare architecture projects
- Operational management to ensure business and project metrics are exceeded
- Strong communication, presentation and collaboration skills
- Strong leadership with an entrepreneurial spirit
- Preferably licensed
- A competitive base salary of $175k-$190k will be offered as well as comprehensive, market leading benefits
