ABOUT THE ROLE
Mansueto Ventures, parent of Inc. and Fast Company, is looking for a skilled Studio Manager to oversee the daily operations of our new in-house production studio. This role involves managing all aspects of studio operations, including booking the space, maintaining equipment, setting up and breaking down for shoots, and handling media management. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in video production, technical troubleshooting capabilities, and a basic understanding of audio technology and recording specifications for podcasts.

Salary range: $75,000 - $90,000 + bonus eligible. Compensation may vary based on relevant experience, skills, industry, and education.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Oversee daily operations of the studio, ensuring smooth functioning.
- Be present for all studio shoots and recordings, providing hands-on support.
- Assist with all sessions and use of studio space for staff and clients.
- Coordinate studio calendars and manage scheduling for staff and clients.
- Collaborate with Facilities and external vendors on studio maintenance.
- Manage equipment check-in/check-out processes.
- Maintain and manage studio gear and equipment.
- Support each session with production setup, technical needs, and breakdown.
- Handle all media management after each shoot.
- Manage audio recordings and ensure high-quality sound.
- Familiarize with the switcher interface and functions.
- Manage live video feeds, ensuring smooth transitions between cameras or media sources and troubleshoot live switching issues if they arise.
- Assist with and execute basic lighting setups using the grid and lighting board.
- Help create and implement a studio marketing plan to promote services.
- Support with selecting the studio's equipment and sets. As well as maintaining and troubleshooting
- Forecast budgets, set up costs and run costs for flagship editorial series (video and audio).
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Strong background in video production and technical capabilities.
- Basic understanding of audio technology and industry-standard recording specifications for podcasts.
- Ability to troubleshoot common technical issues (e.g., buzzing in mics, peaking, distortion).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
- Experience with media management and post-production processes.
