* Writing and reviewing specifications for optical coatings, including spectral performance requirements, environmental and chemical exposure requirements, durability, and surface quality requirements* Modeling and designing coatings for manufacturing in-house.* Performing trade studies for optimization of optical coatings strategy* Managing process development and improvement projects, including novel processing techniques, yield increase, throughput, and safety improvements* Developing requirements and qualification plans for new equipment procurements.* Managing process development and improvement projects, including novel processing techniques, yield increase, throughput, and safety improvements.* Providing Process Ownership of one or more vacuum coating tools using e-beam Evaporation or Ion Beam Sputtering – including writing and certifying work instructions and defining yield improvement plans*Qualifications You Must Have *
* Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or a STEM degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Process or Manufacturing Engineer in an Optics, Electro-Optics and/or Microelectronics environment. Or an advanced degree with 3 years of related experience.* The Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government issued clearance is required. U.S. Citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.*Qualifications We Prefer *
* Direct experience with electron beam, thermal evaporation, or ion beam sputtering technology* Ability to work in a cleanroom environment wearing frock garments.* Experience in engineering computing, including MATLAB, Python or other related language.* Experience in designing Optical Coatings using optical coating modeling software.* Familiarity with metrology equipment and characterization of Optical Coatings and/or optical components* Knowledge of statistical process control and design of experiments*What We Offer*

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
