We are seeking a skilled Appian UI Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building user interfaces using the Appian platform, along with a solid understanding of UI/UX design principles. Candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining user-friendly applications that meet the needs of our business clients.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is$100k - $110k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Application Development: Design, develop, and implement user interfaces for Appian applications, ensuring an intuitive user experience.
- Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- UI/UX Design: Apply best practices in UI/UX design to enhance the usability and functionality of the applications.
- Testing and Debugging: Conduct thorough testing of applications to identify and resolve issues, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain documentation for the development process, including design specifications, user manuals, and deployment guides.
- Performance Optimization: Analyze application performance and implement improvements to ensure optimal efficiency and responsiveness.
- Support and Maintenance: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing applications, addressing any issues that arise post-deployment.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Proven experience as an Appian UI Developer or similar role.
- Familiarity with Appian's low-code development environment and its components (e.g., interfaces, records, process models).
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Appian interface design, including the use of Appian's design tools and components.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web technologies.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and integrations within Appian.
- UI/UX Skills: Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred, but not required:
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Familiarity with other development tools and platforms.
- Appian certification is a plus.
