KTVB, the TEGNA-owned NBC affiliate in Boise, ID is looking for a highly skilled artistic News Photographer who can create exciting content for television, social media, and digital platforms.

We are seeking a photojournalist who can visualize great stories solo and with a team.

Responsibilities:

1. Utilize the latest editing and photography tools and software to tell great stories.
2. Produce compelling, emotional, original content for broadcast and digital platforms.
3. Utilize creative story-telling techniques (lighting, photography, graphics, etc.) to enhance stories.
4. Be capable of covering, in a professional manner, a wide range of news topics, including breaking, general, sports, feature, investigative, and political.
5. Participate in daily editorial meetings by pitching strong, enterprise stories.
6. Maintain professional broadcasting equipment in clean, working order.
7. Safely operate news vehicles in a variety of locations and terrain, and operate live video technology.
8. Perform other tasks as required by management.

Requirements:

1. 2-5 years of professional broadcasting experience preferred.
2. Knowledge of professional news gathering, editing, and content management systems.
3. Ability to demonstrate creativity in daily assignments.
4. Proficiency in professional social media engagement.
5. Demonstrated news judgment, photography experience, and non-linear editing skills.
6. Must be punctual, dependable and flexible with schedule.
7. An understanding of the tenants of professional ethical journalism.
8. Organizational skills with the ability to work well under pressure and meet all deadlines.
9. Ability to handle breaking news and other challenging situations professionally.
