In this role, you will become a Sigma product expert as you design and build modular, hands-on tutorials that help others build their own confidence and expertise. You'll build directly in the Sigma product – no slides, no LMS. Join a cross-functional team of enthusiastic, data–driven writers, enablement specialists, and technical support engineers to develop innovative and effective learning resources you'll put front and center in your portfolio. This is a 6 month contract position based in our San Francisco or New York office (hybrid, 4 days a week in office). This position offers the potential for conversion to a full-time role upon the successful completion of the contract period, based on performance and business needs. Interested candidates are invited to submit their resume, a cover letter highlighting their relevant experience, and a portfolio of instructional design work that features projects that teach how to use technical tools. What you will be doing
Develop and create a library of modular tutorials built directly into the Sigma product that teach end users Sigma's mental models and how to accomplish key tasks following best practices. Learn the product deeply yourself and become a Sigma subject matter expert, while still adopting "beginner's mind" to structure clear and logical learning paths. Create effective content that is pedagogically sound, engaging, and aligned with adult learning principles. Work closely with product managers, technical writers, technical support engineers, and other team members to conduct needs analysis and get feedback on both plans and finished work. Develop measurable learning objectives and engagement metrics for all content you develop. Review and test your instructional materials to ensure accuracy, usability, and effectiveness. Manage multiple projects and deadlines to ensure timely delivery of content. Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience in instructional design, learning experience design, curriculum development, or a related role in an enterprise software company. Strong understanding of instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and self-service learning development. Demonstrated experience creating effective tutorial content. Hands-on experience building analytics dashboards in one of the major Business Intelligence tools (Tableau, Looker, PowerBI, Sisense, Qlik, Thoughtspot etc…) Experience developing learning content for business intelligence platforms, analytics software, big data applications, and similar tools that are used by a mix of technical and non-technical users. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information in a clear and concise manner. Strong project management and organizational abilities, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks effectively. A strong sense of ownership and bias for action and iteration. Additional Job details The pay range for this position is $65/hr - $85/hr per hour. About us:
