Base pay range
$70.00/hr - $85.00/hr
Job Summary
The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, editing, and maintaining high-quality documentation that communicates complex technical information clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences. This role requires collaboration with subject matter experts, product managers, engineering teams, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and accessible content.
This is a 6+ months contract-to-hire position, based out of Boston, MA or Jersey City, NJ.
Key Skills
Software development, legacy financial institutions technology, API integration architecture, technical writing focused on API and ABI documentation, blockchain, and Web3 technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expertise and best practices on product documentation setup for commercial purposes.
- Review existing documentation and identify areas for improvement.
- Work with UX team to optimize documentation on Resource Hub.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and commercial teams to generate and publish content such as product requirements, operational flows, user and technical materials.
- Establish standardized processes and templates for documentation, including product architecture diagrams, user guides, functional features, APIs, ABIs, workflows, infrastructure, and deployment diagrams.
- Assist with content creation and documentation strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate end-user feedback.
Skills and Experience Required
- 5+ years as a Technical Writer, with API and ABI documentation focus.
- 2+ years in a software development role.
- Experience with legacy financial technology and API architecture.
- Knowledge of Blockchain and Web3 technologies.
- Strong understanding of APIs, RESTful services, programming concepts.
- Proficiency with authoring tools, CMS, task management tools, Swagger, Postman, Confluence, JIRA, JSON, diagramming tools like draw.io or Miro, and tech stacks such as Python, MongoDB, CDC, Kafka.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, autonomous environment with good time management skills.
