SUMMARY
Oversee the strategy, development, and implementation of communication efforts for Cherokee Federal. Drive awareness and adoption of key organizational activities and initiatives, as well as increase employee engagement through strategic programming and activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following:
- Manages, produces, and executes the communications strategy across digital platforms, including the company's Intranet and knowledge library.
- Propels communication strategies centered around key organizational priorities.
- Develops and implements communication programming that targets awareness and adoption of activities in support of sales and business development, client relations, company consolidation, among other areas.
- Drives employee engagement through efforts like town halls, open enrollment, and benefits administration.
- Ensures all messages are effectively cascaded to the front-line, with a focus on content creation, maintenance, employee record data integrity, and internal domain ownership.
- Monitors and reports on key performance indicators for employee engagement and long-term retention, updating them quarterly in collaboration with other departments.
- Works closely with various departments such as operations, human resources, government security, and executive leadership to establish and implement strategies that emphasize the organization's value propositions.
- Oversees all employee-facing events deliverables such as town halls, board meetings, and leadership summits.
- Handles the relationship and deliverables associated with contract writing support to ensure timely completion.
- Creates and manages data queries to extract real-time distribution lists.
- Coordinates with the video production team for internal video arrangements and deliverables.
- Oversees external resources to ensure that deliverables are met on schedule.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY
No supervisory/management authority.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in communications, or other related field, and 5 to 7 years of communications or marketing experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience managing content and the administration of communication channels online required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Knowledge of creative software, including Adobe.
- Knowledge of crafting content including a robust writing aptitude.
- Ability to approach problem-solving creatively and establish meaningful relationships with employees.
- Ability to create PowerPoint presentations.
- Ability to multi-task including excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is primarily performed in a climate-controlled office setting. Work involves moderate exposure to elements like extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and loud noises. Work requires moderate physical activity including the ability to lift or handle items weighing up to 25lbs. Work will require travel, including overnight stays.
