Support the McCombs community of faculty, program and department leaders, students and support partners in their use of our learning management system, Canvas, and related instructional technologies for remote, hybrid, and in-person educational experiences through a patient, service-oriented approach.Responsibilities:
Develop and conduct instructional needs assessment in accordance with faculty and program pedagogical and student experience objectives.Develop and/or maintain digital instructional materials and courses, including coordinating production of instructional materials in areas such as project milestones, budget, resource time and logistics.Design and configure learning environments to meet the goals of faculty and programs.Develop resources to support instructional best practices throughout McCombs.Plan and conduct offerings such as workshops, seminars, and one-on-one consulting sessions with faculty to enhance teaching and learning in online environments.Advise and contribute to other MOII initiatives, such as the Academic Rigor initiative and the Teaching Fellows program.Required Qualifications:
Knowledge of instructional design technology-enhanced education best practices, normally acquired through a master's degree in instructional design, educational psychology, instructional design or curriculum and instruction.Two years experience in curriculum development, instructional design, instructional technology or a related area. A doctoral degree in a related field may be substituted for experience.Working knowledge of the design and development of instructional activities and materials.Working knowledge of instructional materials and project management practices, such as project milestones, budget, resource time and logistics.Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.Preferred Qualifications:
Working knowledge of technology project management processes and tools.Current knowledge of the latest LMS, Canvas, online learning technologies and design standards.Ability to plan, design, develop, and evaluate engaging multimedia learning / training objects.Ability to communicate effectively (written, interpersonal, verbal) with faculty and staff members at all levels of the organization.Commitment to providing outstanding service and support to students, faculty, and staff.Strong capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Strong attention to detail and ability to learn new technologies quickly.Previous experience integrating new and existing academic technologies within an LMS environment.Demonstrated ability defining and solving logical problems for technical applications.Salary:
$60,000 - $65,000 depending on qualifications.Working Conditions:
This is a fixed term one (1) year contract.Works in standard office conditions with repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation.Work as a team member in shared office space.Applicants must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
