Position DescriptionA person in this position may be asked to assist in performing one or more of the following types of duties: web design, graphics design, other planning, other designing, drawing, painting and/or lettering by hand or computer assisted.

Major/Essential Functions
Develop and distribute graphic design in a variety of mediums including print and digital. - 50%
Support other members of the marketing staff in the successful execution of their duties including strategic planning, attending meetings, proactively seeking out opportunities to improve the inward and outward facing visual image of the College of Education. - 25%
Develop and maintain good relationships with the faculty, staff and students of the College of Education to ensure a positive work environment. - 10%
Utilize working knowledge of digital marketing concepts to support recruitment and retention of faculty, staff, and students. Should demonstrate knowledge of digital marketing principles including social media advertising, email marketing, and database management. - 15%
Required QualificationsAssociates degree or two years related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
This person must have an excellent knowledge of both the principles of and the ability to execute quality graphic design. A knowledge of prepress formatting is essential along with the rules that govern digital media size and quality of graphics for dissemination. Ability to develop creative designs within the constraints of a well-defined brand. Extensive knowledge of digital marketing strategy and execution, including social media advertising, email marketing, and database segmentation. Photography and video creation and editing skills are preferred.
Bachelor's Degree in graphic design as well as one year of professional experience.
