This position is for teaching CS 140 " Introduction to Programming". The sections are scheduled for Tuesday & Friday 11:00 am to 12:40 pm and Tuesday and Friday 3:30 pm to 5:10 pm. Candidates must possess a master’s degree in computer science or a closely related discipline and have industry experience in programming in Python. Prior university teaching experience is desired. Candidates must be able to teach in-person on-campus during normal business hours (this is not a remote teaching opportunity).Data Modeling and Database Design with PostgreSQL:
This position is for teaching CS 205 "Data Modeling and Database Design". The section is scheduled for Tuesday and Friday 5:30 to 7:10 pm. Candidates must possess a master's degree in computer science or a closely related discipline and have extensive industry experience in database development with PostgreSQL. Additional software engineering experience will be an advantage. Prior university teaching experience is desired. Candidates must be able to teach in-person on-campus (this is not a remote teaching opportunity).Computer Organization and Architecture:
This position is for teaching CS 215 "Computer Organization and Architecture". The section is scheduled for Tuesday and Friday 11:00 am to 12:40 pm. Candidates must possess a master's degree in computer science or a closely related discipline and have significant industry or academic experience in computer organization and architecture, including digital logic, Boolean algebra, and assembly language programming. Prior university teaching experience is desired. Candidates must be able to teach in-person on-campus during normal business hours (this is not a remote teaching opportunity).Salary & Benefits:
The current minimum starting salary is $2,026 per load credit (or a minimum of $6,078 for a single 3 credit course). Additional information on benefits can be found at www.wcsu.edu/hr/benefits/ . Part-time faculty at WCSU are represented by the American Association of University Professors. WCSU is within walking distance of the Danbury station on the Metro North train.
