As the Social Media Manager, this position is to serve as the gatekeeper for all existing Touro University Nevada (Touro) social media accounts. This position is responsible for ensuring consistent messaging to promote and enhance Touro University Nevadas mission (to provide quality education programs in the fields of healthcare and education in concert with the Judaic commitment to social justice, intellectual pursuit, and service to humanity). The Social Media Manager will promote the universitys diverse groups of constituents which includes students, faculty, staff, alumni/ae, community partners, donors, etc. This position works with the campus community to understand what can best be done to promote stories from a social media perspective. This position also works closely with students across all programs to help capture and disseminate the students stories to the universitys followers, with an emphasis on prospective students, who follow Touro. The Social Media Manager must be comfortable working independently and as part of a team. Ideally, the Social Media Manager will demonstrate high creativity with skills for finding interesting and fun stories to help personalize and promote the Touro experience and highlight what makes Touro so special.Located in Henderson, Nevada, approximately twenty-five minutes from the iconic Las Vegas strip, Touro University Nevada is a non-profit medical, health sciences, and education graduate university focused on positively impacting our community in healthcare and education. Please visit the tun.touro.edu/administration/human-resources website where you can see a comprehensive listing of optional benefits and Human Resources contact information.Responsibilities:Accountabilities:Responsible for developing innovative, effective and ongoing social media plans for Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Instagram.Continually update plan/strategy and related activity based on emerging trends and opportunities.Curates content from internal sources while also creating original content with the goal of boosting engagement, adding credibility, keeping up with relevant topics while staying in line with Touros brand.Manage day-to-day social media activities; this includes planning an editorial calendar, creating content to support that calendar, re-posting, community management and customer service.Creates, writes, and publishes consistent and engaging content that ensures all programs are being posted about consistently to increase brand awareness.Maintain and safeguard brand voice and a unified messaging strategy across online networks.Live post/stream during key Touro events.Perform periodic social media profile optimization ensuring links/bios are up to date.Establish and conduct regular reporting that sets and tracks measurable goals, as well as use data and analysis to determine what tactics are inspiring social audiencesCreate and improve internal processes and structure as it relates to social media.Follows up with creative agencies, internal teams, and program/department heads regularly.Creates comprehensive plans for major University events or activities.Understand that this is a non-traditional role requiring mandatory attendance during evenings and weekends to support nightly events and other property activities.Graphic design, photo and video editing skills required for content creation.Respond to comments and messages in a timely and professional manner.Other responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to, contributing copy, video, and pictures for internal and external communications such as newsletters and emails, and other duties as assigned.

HoursMon Thurs, 8:00 am 5:00 pmFriday, 8:00 am 3:00 pmOccasional weekend and evening work will be necessaryGiven the nature of the Internet and 24/7 news and issues cycle, this role requires availability outside of traditional work hoursRemote work is available with supervisory approval two days per week after 90 days of employment

Qualifications:Education:Baccalaureate degree in social media management, business administration, communications, marketing, journalism, broadcasting, public relations, or marketing from an accredited college or universityMeta Certification
