Job Responsibilities:
- Accountable for the online channel strategy, customer experience and distribution of products and services across businesses
- Provide customers with the ability to seek financial information, perform account transactions and acquire products online
- Responsible for executing creative concepts for the Online Channel in collaboration with copywriters, content strategists, interaction designers, developers and other visual designers.
- Contributes to visualizing, designing and conceptualizing user experiences
- Applies design principles to color, typography, layout and image choices appropriately to create visual solutions that meet business and user needs
- Executes concepts under the oversight of a Lead or Manager-level Designer and creates visual artwork deliverables from wireframes and specs
- Understands and applies Online Standards and brand guidelines to visual design collateral
- Assists in developing and documenting style through the creation of style guides and delivery mock-ups
- Understands how front-end technologies (HTML, CSS) impact design decisions
- Assists with presenting design concepts and direction to the client
- Provides quality assurance of creative deliverables
- Contributes to the development of the design team’s culture and quality standards
- Ensure a consistent and compelling customer experience
- Delegates, on occasion, some responsibilities to other designers and oversees junior designers where needed
Skills and Experience Required:
- 5+ years of industry experience
- Strong design portfolio with relevant education
- Proficient knowledge of applicable programs (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Ability to multi-task and work efficiently under pressure, with careful attention to detail
- Good working knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS)
- Good understanding of interaction design practices and principles and content strategy
- Understanding of motion design and the strengths and limitations of emerging technologies
- Passion for design and enthusiasm for collaboration with other creatives
- Self-motivated, organized, and accountable
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills; ability to articulate concepts and rationale to team members
