We're looking for a full-time writer to join our Internal Communications Team. In this role, you'll be responsible for creating clear, compelling content that informs and inspires U-Haul Team Members across the U.S. and Canada. You'll write everything from feature stories and news briefs to infographics and announcements ... helping bring our company's culture and people to life.
What You'll Do:
•Work under the direction of the Internal Communications manager to complete writing assignments across a range of formats.
•Conduct interviews with team members at all levels of the company.
•Research, fact-check and collaborate with other departments to ensure accuracy and tone.
•Coordinate photo needs with our in-house creative team.
•Edit and proofread content for grammar, style and consistency.
•Translate complex or technical information into engaging human-centered stories.
•Juggle multiple deadlines with grace (and humor).
What You Bring:
•A bachelor's degree in journalism, mass communications, creative writing, public relations or equivalent professional experience.
•One or more years of experience in news, business or feature writing (corporate communications experience is a plus).
•Impeccable writing and editing skills with strong attention to detail.
•A flexible, collaborative attitude and a knack for storytelling.
•A sense of humor-seriously, it's a must.
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Teams etc.) is required.
•Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and/or other graphic design software is a plus!
