Job Title: UI Designer (with ERP Experience)

Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid – 3 days)

Job Type: contract to hire

Job Overview:

We are looking for a talented and motivated UI Designer to join our team. In this role, you will spend the majority of your time (approximately 70%) designing high-quality mockups and wireframes for our web and mobile platforms. The remaining 30% of your time will involve collaboration with cross-functional teams, participating in meetings, and contributing to the development of user-centered design strategies. The ideal candidate will bring strong UI design skills coupled with experience working with ERP tools, particularly SAP.

Key Responsibilities:

• UI Design (70%)
  • Create intuitive, user-friendly UI mockups and prototypes for web and mobile platforms.
  • Develop wireframes, user flows, and interaction designs to ensure optimal user experience.
  • Ensure that all designs are aligned with the product’s branding and meet accessibility and usability standards.
  • Use Figma to design mock ups.
  • Work in an Agile environment with developers to ensure designs are implemented as intended and provide support in the handoff process.
• Collaboration & Meetings (30%)
  • Partner with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to define requirements and user needs.
  • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss project progress, design challenges, and feedback.
  • Collaborate with other team members on design best practices and process improvements.
  • Gather and analyze user feedback to iterate and improve the design of the product.
  • Present design ideas and concepts to internal stakeholders and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• ERP Tool (SAP) Expertise
  • Apply your knowledge of ERP tools (preferably SAP) to design user interfaces that are effective for enterprise applications.
  • Understand the unique challenges and complexities of working within ERP environments to create interfaces that meet user needs.
  • Collaborate with internal SAP teams to ensure seamless integration of design elements within the ERP system.

Qualifications:

• Experience:
  • 3+ years of UI design experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design work.
  • Proven experience working with ERP tools, specifically SAP. Familiarity with other ERP platforms is a plus.
  • Experience designing for web and mobile platforms.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Skills:
  • Proficiency in Figma.
  • Experience using Agile methodology in large matrix environments.
  • Strong understanding of UI/UX principles, user-centered design, and accessibility standards.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of design systems and best practices for enterprise applications.
• Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
