A little bit about the role…
Are you a hyper-productive graphic designer with mastery of visual communication, graphics software and production techniques? Are you a top-tier listener-learner with a knack for creatively solving complex challenges? Are you deadline-driven with a sharp eye for quality and detail? If so, we want to chat!
We are looking for an experienced graphic designer with a solid B2B or corporate marketing design background – proficient in print and digital mediums – to assist in the development, execution, and optimization of marketing campaigns and assets. Reporting to our Director of Marketing, the Senior Graphic Designer will be responsible for:
- Conceptualizing and building appealing, effective, and on-brand communications assets that meet company business goals across a variety of channels and audiences.
- Serving as an expert on UZURV’s brand identity and style and implementing it across all platforms daily.
- Developing infographics, slide presentations, and other visual assets that effectively explain UZURV’s product offerings and benefits to our riders, drivers, clients, and other partners.
- Creating effective visual assets for social media posts, driver recruitment advertising, and lead generation, as well as developing informational animations that showcase how our platform works for drivers and riders.
- Sourcing and working with production vendors to produce printed and physical materials for driver onboarding, corporate events, and trade shows.
- Maintaining and enhancing our company website experience and creating branded email templates for communication workflows.
- Partnering with our app UX team to provide graphic assets and ensure adherence to brand standards.
- Collaborating with several cross-functional teams – including Operations, Business Development, and Driver Success – to measure the effectiveness of our communication and where we can improve.
We are excited about you because…
- You have 3-5 years of full-time experience as a graphic designer with a creative agency or internal corporate creative department and a 4-year college degree in visual, graphic, or commercial arts, or comparable degree.
- You have a solid portfolio of professional, in-market work - this will be required for interviews. And you can share how that work got the right results and why.
- You have the ability to understand complex data and ideas and explain them through appealing, clear, and effective visuals.
- You are highly organized and detail-oriented; nothing falls through the cracks with you in charge. You can effectively switch gears and manage competing priorities quickly and on time.
- You have a demonstrated understanding of how to set up design files for a variety of print production techniques and formats.
- You are proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and are familiar with marketing automation platforms such as Hubspot.
- You are proficient in digital design with an emphasis on web (Wordpress), email, app, and presentation design.
- Basic HTML/CSS is required. (Bonus points for advanced HTML, CSS, or JS proficiency)!
- You possess strong project management skills and a demonstrated ability to work successfully on cross-functional teams.
- You are proficient in designing engaging business presentations in Powerpoint or Google slides and familiar with Google Suite software.
- You are a great team player and come to work with a constructive mindset and positive attitude.
- You have high integrity and exceptional commitment to delivering results and have high empathy for serving underserved communities.
- You are wired to build solutions within challenging parameters and under pressure. We’re not kidding. We build great stuff. It’s rewarding but not easy.
- More bonus points if you are proficient or knowledgeable in accessible design - it is key to our company mission!
To be successful at UZURV, you must be:
- Technology-oriented - You must be highly-proficient in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator and adept with learning new technologies. You take the initiative to recommend and implement new tools into our workflow that streamline operations and drive innovation.
- Creative Problem Solver - We love a good puzzle. You should thrive on tackling tricky challenges with the tools at hand, thinking creatively to crack problems and make the most out of what’s available. Constraints? Just part of the fun.
- Agile - Multitasking is necessary in a growing, fast-paced company, as is the ability to plan and organize your workload. You must be flexible and nimble to adapt to shifting priorities.
- Collaborative - Collaboration is critical at UZURV, and we work together to provide greater independence for the communities we serve. You should be committed to approaching this role with a results-focused, collaborative, and inclusive mindset.
- Mission-driven - We believe that the ADA is a promise and Mobility Independence is for Everyone. We strive to ensure access to reliable, safe, and on-demand transportation is available to people who need assistance getting around. Valuing your work and the time you spend in your career is core to who you are – you work where you want to make a true difference.
