Job Summary
This position supports the Union Marketing Creative Director in the management, planning, and execution of creative content to support the strategic objectives of the institution, division, and department. This position will directly oversee the Dining and Retail Services sub-unit, coordinating all creative and logistical aspects of the operation. This work will include staff management (student and professional), workflow management, and the creation of on-brand, compelling visual assets used to inform, educate, inspire, and/or persuade. This position will be responsible for providing strategic feedback on project management, copy, design/production, and social media efforts. This position will work closely with UWM Marketing Specialists to ensure effective and efficient order management and customer service. This position will require a higher level of management, responsibility, and workload. Candidates for this position must demonstrate high level communication and mentorship skills in a dynamic learning organization.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, or Visual Arts production.
- 1 year of professional experience as a content creator/designer.
- 2+ years of experience in project/case management in customer-driven creative field.
- 2+ years of professional experience as a content creator/designer.
- Demonstrated mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud, or an equivalent.
- Proficient in Office Suite, MS 365, or an equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience managing deadline driven artistic production.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Photography experience.
- Workflow management application experience.
- Supervisory experience managing and developing student staff.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, or Visual Arts production.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate, support, and lead creative staff to maximize growth and output potential.
- 5+ years of experience in project/case management in customer-driven creative field.
- 1+ years working in/for a higher education institution.
- Demonstrated mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud, or an equivalent.
- Demonstrated mastery of Microsoft Office Suite, MS 365, or an equivalent.
- Demonstrated mastery of Yodeck digital screen management software.
- Ability to concept, create and execute large scale installations and projects while maintaining branding and continuity with other similar projects.
- Coordination and collaboration of projects with campus partners.
- Ability to chair/lead committees that involve student and pro staff.
Target Salary Range
$42,800 - $49,500
