Established audio video (A/V), reseller/integration firm is seeking A/V solutions and support staff to accommodate growth. Headquartered in Texas, Visionality is a leading supplier of audio/visual and video communications systems in the Southwest. The rapid growth of installed A/V systems drives exponential growth in the company, leading us to expand our post-sales technical staff with dedicated personnel. Position Description
The A/V Installer provides installation and integration services for pre-designed audio-visual solutions, as well as support for established A/V systems. The role involves approximately 90% travel within the state and neighboring states. The position is full-time and based at Visionality's Dallas, TX office.
Requirements
- Experience in installing medium to large-scale A/V systems, structured cabling, or electrical solutions.
- Ability to follow designs and proposals independently to realize project outcomes.
- Adherence to standards, quality, and safety protocols.
- Monitoring inventory, equipment, and project consumables.
- Knowledge of control/integrated switching vendors such as Crestron, Kramer, AMX, and Extron.
- Familiarity with display, video wall, and projection system vendors like Panasonic, NEC, Samsung, Epson, and others.
- Experience with major equipment providers such as Chief, Middle Atlantic, Spectrum, etc.
- Understanding of AV over IP, HDBaseT, Dante, AVB, and other transport technologies.
- Experience installing conferencing systems, council chambers, and multi-room campus-wide systems.
- Knowledge of wired and wireless microphone installations.
Qualifications
- At least six months of experience as an A/V, cabling, or electrical installer.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Willingness to obtain industry certifications such as CTS, CTS-I, Crestron certifications, Biamp, Shure, Dante, QSC, etc.
- Experience with Crestron, AMX, Extron, Kramer, and major vendor devices.
- Ability to interpret CAD drawings.
- Proficiency in terminating and maintaining AV connectors and cables.
- Knowledge of networking standards and configurations.
- Ability to work independently or in a team.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work within strict timeframes.
- Willingness to travel up to 90% (primarily in-state).
- Ability to pass background checks at various levels.
