The Sr. Marketing Communications Specialist will work collaboratively with our teams to develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communication strategies. The Specialist will create innovative marketing communications solutions, craft communications for our internal and external audiences, and lead event planning efforts that enhance our client development, community engagement, and brand visibility. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, cross-functional collaborator with excellent project management and leadership skills, who actively contributes to forward thinking and innovative initiatives. This position reports directly to the Sr. Marketing Director.

Essential FunctionsEffectively engage with marketing/business development, corporate leadership, and operations teams to deliver strong communications and marketing tactics that align with corporate strategies and brand standardsDevelop compelling marketing, investor relations and corporate communications content for a variety of mediums and platforms, including website, social media, events, reports, scripts, proposals, brochures, videos, industry applications, newsletters, etc.Lead event planning efforts including industry conferences, client dinners, and sponsorships that generate new leads/opportunities and deepen customer relationshipsWork cross-functionally across internal departments to proactively identify new content and enhance communications, and proactively generate and lead execution of creative strategies to increase brand visibilityOversee and implement strategies within marketing communications team to enhance digital media effortsProvide supervision of marketing communications team members, fostering a culture of teamwork, collaboration and innovationOther duties as assignedRegular and predictable attendanceEssential Functions of this position are to be performed at a Company-designated office or field locationUnderstand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and other industry-specific professional and ethical standardsABOUT YOU
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferably in journalism, communications, marketing, or related field; combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degree7 to 10 years of demonstrated communications and event planning experienceConstruction (A/E/C) industry experience a plusProven leadership abilities with supervisory experienceKnowledge/Skills/Abilities

Compensation & Benefits
Salary $79,952-$105,000 / year
Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
