"Weed the People." With a dialed-in grow operation and a bold new brand refresh, we're ready to dominate the MD/DC market-and have a little fun while we're at it. Vice President of Marketing Our Vice President of Marketing will align and coordinate all omnichannel marketing activities to drive sales, build brand loyalty, and grow our wholesale and retail consumer base. The Vice President of Marketing will be responsible for the overseeing overall brand content creation, merchandise oversight, and to bring a consistent brand voice and image to the forefront of everything that we do. This position will supervise the Marketing and creative teams for both Maryland and DC operations. The Vice President will execute projects based on current marketing department needs in both short- and long-term capacities. Strategic Planning & Execution The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Develop and manage the marketing teams to execute on successful strategies and campaigns that attract new customers and keep District Cannabis top of class. Plan, manage, and implement current and new advertising and promotional activities including both online and instore. Work interdepartmentally to develop detailed marketing plans for all media channels and external events Communicate with various media buyers, advertising agencies, printers and other services to help marketing projects come to fruition Implement and achieve satisfactory metrics, both personal and departmental Develop and execute marketing plans with strategies and tactics to support market growth objectives driven by data and analytics Be an expert on the consumer, market, and trends to develop data backed plans using local insights Oversee regional communications and customer outreach efforts across platforms such as email, social media, point of purchase Collaborate cross functionally to ensure alignment on market strategies against revenue goals Develop and implement annual department budget with VP of Sales and Technology and Sr Financial Leadership Work with accounting to track all marketing budgets Leads direct reports in a manner that achieves goals and holds them accountable to their essential duties. Maintain a working knowledge of the competition, demonstrate a working knowledge of internal operations, and maintain awareness and application of all current sales techniques and practices. Review current marketing trends and advertisements to determine the effectiveness of different styles and strategies Team Leadership & Performance Analytics Collaborate effectively with the Human Resources Department and appropriate partners to implement and manage the company's policies and procedures. Partner with the Human Resources Department to monitor staff performance, provide timely feedback, along with development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, and conduct annual performance evaluations. Retain and develop top performers by understanding individual's motivations and providing actionable feedback. Addresses low performance quickly, compassionately, and in alignment with company policies. Manage employee's scheduling, basic time off requests, performance reviews, etc. Qualifications we ask you to have: For legal reasons, all employees need to be at least 21 years of age. You will be asked to pass a Federal and State criminal history background check. We ask that you have at least a high school diploma/GED. We ask that you have seven (7) years of progressive marketing experience We prefer that you have managerial experience We prefer that you have project management and design experience Willingness to be in market and travel between DC and Maryland Additional skills which will help you excel in your role: Desire and ability to work as a member of a team. Please have personal accountability, proactive behaviors, and strong attention to detail. Excellent organizational, project management and time management skills. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. Comprehensive knowledge of industry and industry-related trends and forecasts. CPG brand launch experience. A passion for the cannabis culture. Proactive in organization and planning, attention to detail and high standards. Excellent track record of execution. A creative mind who is innovative and likes to think outside of the box. Compliance with all HR policies including confidentiality and non-disclosure.
