Position Overview
Avam is seeking a talented
Marketing Specialist
with a strong background in biotechnology, laboratory products, or life sciences sales. The ideal candidate will understand the unique needs of laboratory customers and have experience turning technical features into compelling marketing messages. This role will work across product lines to help develop campaigns, drive lead generation, support product launches, and elevate Avam's brand presence in the scientific community. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute marketing campaigns for biotechnology and laboratory-focused products and services Translate complex technical features into customer-centric messaging for web pages, brochures, datasheets, and email campaigns Support sales teams by creating targeted marketing materials, lead generation programs, and product education content Manage and optimize digital marketing activities, including content marketing, SEO/SEM, and email marketing Assist with trade show planning, promotional campaigns, and industry events Analyze marketing performance data to recommend optimizations and improve campaign effectiveness Conduct market research to identify customer trends, competitor positioning, and new opportunities Collaborate closely with product management, sales, and scientific teams to align marketing efforts with business objectives Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or a related scientific field 2+ years of marketing experience in biotechnology, life sciences, laboratory equipment, or related industries Strong understanding of laboratory workflows, scientific research processes, and B2B customer needs Excellent writing, communication, and project management skills Proficiency in CRM and marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Marketo) and CMS platforms Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining high quality Knowledge of SEO, digital advertising, and analytics tools (Google Analytics, SEMrush, etc.) is a plus Self-starter mindset with a strong sense of ownership and creativity What We Offer Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses Unlimited PTO (subject to approval), plus company holidays and federal holidays Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) plan (launching soon) Remote flexibility and a collaborative, science-driven work environment The opportunity to grow within a fast-evolving company that is redefining life sciences marketing
