The Department of Art at the University of Virginia is seeking a student social media coordinator during the academic year 2024-25. The student social media coordinator will be expected to assist the Department with managing website news, Instagram postings, drafting weekly newsletters, and other related social media research.The position duties include but are not limited to:Attending weekly in-person or zoom meetings with the supervisorDrafting newsletter content and adding images to MailchimpFollowing other UVA Instagram accounts for news related to the Department of ArtFormatting Art Instagram posts for program events, student news, alumni news, and faculty newsResearching future ideas for posts and stories (ie: upcoming events, fieldtrips, guest speakers, alumni, student or faculty spotlights)To apply: Please attach a current CV/Resume.Location: Fayerweather HallDate: August 27, 2024 to May 9, 2025Hourly Rate: $14.00MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Current undergrad UVA student Experience: None Licensure: None PHYSICAL DEMANDS This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
