Responsibilities
This position is responsible for project management activities in support of the Director of Creative Services. Designs and develops visual, digital, marketing, and branding material to support the educational, promotional, and informational needs of the FSU College of Medicine (CoM).
Under the direction of the Director of Creative Services, leads the design and development of print, web, marketing, and digital media for instruction, research, and outreach for CoM. Collaborates with other team members, and when assigned by the Director, other departments to create graphics and branded material for publication on websites, printed material, and various other visual or electronic media.
Serves as creative manager over all marketing, branding, and graphic media development for CoM. Project management of the Creative Services team and the departmental projects. Works with Creative Services team to review needs of faculty, administration and staff and then provide recommendations for appropriate and effective media production services and technology integration. Helps to determine optimal and effective media needs and requirements.
Reviews department activities and suggests changes to Director to promote effective and efficient operations. Promotes an atmosphere of teamwork in accomplishing the strategic initiatives and mission of the CoM.
Assists in writing, editing, and proof-reading content and material to be used for instructional and promotional purposes.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and four years of experience related to media, communications, and/or marketing services; or high school diploma/equivalent and experience equal to eight years. (Note: post-high school education can substitute for experience at the equivalent rate.)
Valid Florida or Georgia Driver's License or the ability to obtain prior to hire.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with photography, graphics, and/or audio/visual associated operations.Experience with applicable computer programs, such as the entire Adobe Suite of products, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Experience using graphic layout techniques and art in a digital format.Experience designing and coding basic HTML and CSS.Experience communicating effectively verbally and in writing.Experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.Experience prioritizing, organizing, and performing multiple work assignments simultaneously.Experience and knowledge of social and content marketing strategies.Knowledge of SEO and SEM optimization.Knowledge of prepress and print production processes.Knowledge and proficiency with a variety of cameras and production equipment including Canon camcorders and DSLRs as well as both MAC and PC environments.Experience with current media technology and trends.

Anticipated Salary Range
Anticipated starting salary in the $50,000's - $70,000, commensurate with education/experience.

Considerations
This is an A&P position.
This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check .
This is an onsite position. The employee will work in-person at the main campus of the FSU College of Medicine in Tallahassee, Florida.
Schedule: Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm. Occasional nights, weekends, and travel are expected.
Final candidates will be expected to complete a skills assessment.
