Salary Range : $20.00 - $25.00 HourlyAIFS AbroadJob Title: University Relations Communications AssistantResponsibilitiesAIFS Abroad works with over 400 affiliated colleges and universities and supports their individual efforts to increase student mobility through education abroad. We maintain program information in multiple external application databases including Terra Dotta, Via TRM, and Symplicity/Horizons, as well as external marketing websites. It is vital that this information is accurate, concise, and attractive to potential students. The University Relations (UR) team works closely with Marketing to provide images, copy, and HTML to create these brochure pages. We also work closely with university partners to ensure that all information is visible to students and advisors and review these items across the international education industry to make sure we are meeting and exceeding expected standards.This role is responsible for auditing and maintenance of content within external application database systems and updating listings on advertising platforms. Content in these pages links directly to the AIFS website and is a direct source of marketing for our programs. As the website is updated and new programs or terms are launched, all databases must be updated to reflect these changes. Additionally, this role may be asked to interact with university partners directly to ensure that updates made by AIFS are accepted into their system and visible to students. Creating a timeline for this work, and these interactions, will be necessary to guide the project.This role is a great learning opportunity for an individual who is interested in understanding more about some of the background of digital marketing and communications with university partners from the prospective of a well-established provider.This is a temporary, 20 hours per week position, that operates in a hybrid environment. Primarily remote, with the expectation of two days per week working in the Stamford, CT office.Supporting External Application DatabasesAudit existing listings and address any inconsistencies or errorsCreate and develop a year-round timeline for anticipated updatesCreate, update, and archive program listings across external application database systemsAdd and update date records and term notes in relevant database systemsLiaise with support contacts at these organizations as neededLiaise with UR team when updates are implementedAssist with queries from university partners, and troubleshoot with the UR teamLiaise with Marketing team and Signature Content Director for approved content for databases and review sitesEnsure all listings are current, accurate, and aesthetically appealingSupporting Review SitesAudit existing review sites, and create a plan and timeline for updatesLiaise with AIFS and GE Marketing for approved content for databases and review sitesEnsure all listings are current, accurate, and aesthetically appealingCoordinate with Alumni Program manager to include media, quotes, and other timely items to support informative and interesting listings for prospective participantsOtherOrganize and maintain tasks - track projects, resources, needs, and deadlinesWork closely with supervisor to prioritize tasks and projectsOther opportunities for special tasks and projects may ariseQualifications & ExperienceYou must meet all of the following requirements to be considered for this position.Strong written and verbal communication. Writing sample requested.General understanding and a creative eye for website and graphic design layoutProject management skills to work successfully in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing deadlinesProficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel,) and Microsoft online systems including Teams, Sharepoint, OneDriveA minimum of 1 year experience in a professional environment; prior marketing or sales experience is preferredPreferred Job Experience:Experience living, interning or studying abroad, and/or studying in new cultural environments, preferably in one of our program destinationsExperience working with databases including but not limited to Terra Dotta, Horizons, ViaTRM, or Microsoft AccessEye for detail and ability to spot opportunities for efficiencyHTML knowledge is a plusWe are looking for someone who can add to our team and organization and recognize there is no such thing as a “perfect” candidate.
