Summary
The Visual Merchandiser’s primary responsibility is to fulfill our mission statement, “to create the most enjoyable shopping experience possible for our Guests.” Visual Merchandising Teammates will contribute to profitability by managing the visual appearance and shopability of the store using visual guidelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Ensure timely installation and removal of window presentations and store promotion events, including packing, unpacking, and preparing all props in line with visual standards.
- Collaborate with store leadership to plan store layouts and creative merchandise flow, including product rotation and markdown placement.
- Maintain a focus on better business by communicating effectively with leadership.
- Educate leadership on the rationale behind visual strategies.
- Display urgency in bringing new products to the sales floor.
- Assist Guests and Teammates as needed.
- Understand and utilize the Sales Presentation, Register, and iPad to assist Guests. Be flexible with work hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and special holiday shifts, based on store needs.
- Report policy violations and concerns regarding Teammates or Guests promptly and confidentially to management or HR.
- Adhere to Buckle’s Code of Ethics, policies, procedures, and handbooks.
- Perform duties with a high level of customer service, supporting a positive team environment.
- Perform any other duties or special projects as assigned.

Education and Experience
Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year of related experience/training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands
Requires standing, walking, handling, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, and hearing regularly. Occasional sitting. Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. Visual requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, and focus adjustment. Work environment is a retail store with moderate noise levels. Reasonable accommodations are available for disabilities.
