Job purpose |
Duties and responsibilities |
- Adhere to Communications Plan
- Develop, design, and produce multimedia content, including photos, videos, animations, audio recordings, graphics, and interactive elements
- Collaborate with communications team to align multimedia projects with overall Co-op goals and campaigns
- Edit and enhance video and audio content, applying creative effects and ensuring high production standards
- Maintain and update multimedia content regularly across platforms such as websites, social media, and presentations
- Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all multimedia outputs
- Manage multimedia equipment and software tools, staying up to date with new technologies and tools
- Evaluate project requirements and conceptualize creative ideas to meet objectives and deadlines
- Assist in live or virtual event production, including streaming and recording sessions
- Provide technical support for multimedia-related inquiries and troubleshoot any issues
- Manage content calendars and ensure that the content remains consistent across all platforms
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Learn and comply with Cooperative’s safety rules and procedures
- Maintain confidential information
Qualifications |
- BA/BS degree in Communications, Multimedia Design, Graphic Design or related field
- Minimum two years’ experience in public relations, video editing or related creative field
- Proven experience in multimedia production with a strong portfolio showcasing video editing, graphic design, and interactive media projects
- Proficiency in multimedia software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator), Final Cut Pro, or similar tools
- Strong understanding of visual storytelling and design principles
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Ability to think creatively and solve problems under tight deadlines, with a proactive approach to embracing new challenges
- Willing to travel anywhere in the cooperative system, as well as attend functions relevant to position
- Willing to attend schools/seminars/meetings
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Possess a valid Texas driver's license
- Insurable with the Cooperative's auto insurance carrier
- Possess excellent oral and written communications skills in the English language
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to maintain a harmonious working relationship with all Cooperative employees
- Must be or become certified in first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation
Working conditions |
- Traveling required, including overnight stays
- Office environment
- To ensure all employees are provided with drug free and alcohol-free working conditions, pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable cause and random drug and alcohol tests are conducted on all employees
- Subject to working irregular hours, as needed

Rio Grande Electric Cooperative, Inc. (RGEC) was organized in 1945 to enhance the quality of life for rural residents by providing electric service where none existed. Today, at over 35,000 square miles, RGEC has the largest service territory of any electric cooperative in the contiguous United States, serving 18 counties in Texas, and two counties in New Mexico. While it still serves rural areas, many metropolitan areas have expanded into RGEC’s territory, which now includes hospitals, schools, and urban housing developments.
The Cooperative was also selected by the military to be the electrical maintenance provider for Fort Bliss, El Paso, and Laughlin Air Force Base, Del Rio. RGEC maintains offices in Alpine, Brackettville, Carrizo Springs, Dell City, El Paso, and Fort Stockton, with the Brackettville office serving as corporate headquarters.
