Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
Job Description MSNBC is looking for a Producer for MSNBC’s Morning Joe.
This position is represented by the Writers Guild of America East.
Responsibilities:
Create graphic art and animations for the Morning Joe newsletter
Create original video content for the show newsletter and website.
Communicate daily story development with senior team.
Pitch story ideas.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications: Must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 3+ years of experience in television news and/or graphics design Must have expertise in high-end graphic art computer programming. Edit experience preferred. Candidate should be able to deal with daily deadline pressure. Desired Qualifications: Possess ability to develop story ideas, research, and plan segments. Exceptional editorial skills: Ability to recognize stories with high potential for provocative, compelling television. Knowledge of current events, politics, and pop culture. Wide-range reader of news, including op-eds. Proficient in both tape and desktop editing.
