Shift Details: Full-time 40 hours/week - Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm
Compensation: $55,000-$58,500 annual salary
Location: Hybrid - onsite 3 days/week at Metro Office in Edina
About the job:
Care Options Network is looking for an Editor and Ad Salesperson to lead the creation and production of the consumer magazine, The Directory. You will join a dedicated, curious, and compassionate team that focuses on strengthening the senior care community and supporting healthy aging. Essentials:
In this role you will lead the editorial, sales, graphic, print and distribution of The Directory, an annual magazine for older adults, including:
- Work closely with authors, graphic designer, printer, and outside distributor
- Responsible for ad sales primarily through ad renewals and some ad prospecting
- Maintain and continue to build advertiser relationships
- Coordinate local distribution
- Get online edition live
- Lead project management, including team collaboration, for The Directory. This includes brainstorming for future editions as well as support during production season
- Support member retention with excellent customer service
- Responsible for The GuideBook ad renewals and sales
- Study new ways to deliver information and be aware of industry changes so we are poised to be current
- Excel at meeting publication deadlines
- Shine at prioritizing tasks on projects
- Work in collaboration with leadership and team frequently
- Participate in strategic planning

Required Qualifications:
- BA/BS (4-year degree) in Journalism, Communications or related field
- Experience in senior care industry a plus
- Demonstrated skills and expertise using Adobe InDesign and Acrobat Pro
- Experience with Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Proven experience and proficient in visual, written, and verbal communications
- Motivated initiative-taker, interest in managing multiple tasks at once, accuracy, timeliness, strategic planning and implementation, and creative thinking
- Energized, working toward deadlines in a seasonal environment
