The Creative Supervisor drives the localization of Studio-branded content, ensuring the creative and operational excellence of dubbed and subtitled versions for international markets. Partnering closely with global teams, the Supervisor safeguards the original filmmaker’s intent while delivering projects on time, securely, and at the highest quality standards. They will actively explore and monitor AI-driven localization tools, in order to accelerate workflows and raise performance. Additionally, the role requires tracking of localization data, analyzing key operational metrics, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, the Supervisor plays a key role in scaling operations through innovation, data-driven decisions, and operational leadership.
Responsibilities:
Analyze the content to support the development and execution of creative localization strategies that preserve the original filmmaker’s intent while ensuring cultural relevance.
Be the primary point of contact for creative localization for all titles assigned
Coordinate the creation, review, and approval of dubbing and subtitling reference materials, including scripts, glossaries, creative briefs, and casting notes.
Manage day-to-day localization operations across global teams, ensuring compliance with Studio quality standards, material specifications, SLAs, and security protocols.
Track and report localization data, metrics, and KPIs for assigned titles; analyze performance trends to recommend operational improvements.
Leverage AI-powered tools to enhance workflow efficiencies, quality control, and localization data tracking.
Support the publishing of regular dashboards and presentations on vendor performance, localization timelines, quality scores, and operational health.
Collaborate closely with dubbing studios and vendors to provide clear creative feedback, escalate issues, and ensure timely resolution.
Proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and areas for workflow automation or process enhancement.
Champion the adoption of new technologies and operational best practices across localization efforts.
Requirements:
3+ years of experience in localization, project management, or creative operations, ideally with dubbing focus.
Strong understanding of AI tools and their application to creative workflows and data analysis.
Experience tracking and reporting metrics, KPIs, and vendor performance data.
Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise diplomatically across global teams.
Strong creative judgment with an eye for story and an ear for performance; adept at crafting character guides and creative briefs that explain tone, humor and cultural nuances for effective localization.
Ability to communicate creative ideas in a clear manner to non-native English speakers
Familiarity with localization security standards, digital asset management, and content protection best practices.
Hands-on experience with localization platforms, project management software, and workflow automation tools.
Knowledge of the voice-over recording and dubbing pipeline
Passion for operational excellence, creative problem solving, and continuous process improvement.
Fluency in English written and spoken required. Being bilingual or multilingual is a plus.
Position is onsite 4 days a week.
The hiring range for this position in Los Angeles, CA is $79,700.00 to $103,00.00 per year based on a 40-hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
