Overall Goal of the Graphic Designer Position:Execute the spirit and meaning of our brands through graphic design to help create OurRecipe@SauerBrands.
Job Summary for the Graphic Designer:We're looking for a talented graphic designer who can take concepts and ideas and develop creative assets in packaging/promotional collateral and digital/social media. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of current design software and be skilled in every step of the design process, from concept to final deliverable. Collaborating with multiple teams across the company, the graphic designer should be able to take written or spoken ideas and convert them into a design that connects. The graphic designer reports to the Brand Manager, supporting design needs of the Spice Business Unit across multiple brands: Kernel Season’s, Spice Hunter, Mateo’s, Sauer’s.
Responsibilities of the Graphic Designer Position:Develop design concepts and final artwork for packaging, print collateral, digital/social/web creative assets, and swag.Translate strategic direction into high-quality design within an established brand identity.Develop final deliverables to spec, and work with external agencies or printers to ensure accuracy of creative assets (color, font, quality, etc.).Update packaging labels per regulatory or nutritional updates.Work independently as well as cooperatively with the marketing team to meet deadlines.Collaborate, brainstorm, and strategize with team members on creative strategy and execution.Update and maintain internal databases for designs, photography, and video.Performance Standards (the criteria that will be used to evaluate performance):High quality design that elevates the brand and delivers on brand guidelines.Efficient/appropriate rounds of revisions depending on how big the project is; and ability to execute on feedback quickly.Delivering on promises and deadlines.What you do and how you act (Be yourself!).Leadership and comfort in your own voice.Personal Effectiveness: meeting timelines and productivity requirements (quantity and quality of work).Personal interaction, communication, and teamwork with internal and external parties, consistent with company values and guiding principles.What We Are Looking for in a Graphic Designer:Personal Characteristics

Education, Experience & Skills
3+ years of experience in professional graphic design, preferably with a creative or marketing agency.Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in graphic design, art, or related discipline.5+ years of experience (academic and professional) with design software, such as Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Dreamweaver.Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills.Excellent communication skills.Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Photography/photo-editing is a plus.
