, a family-owned company located in Fort Worth, Texas is looking for a
Technical Apparel Designer
to join our creative team in the exciting role of developing
Rock and Roll Denim, Panhandle, and Powder River Outfitters
fashion for men, women, and children. Our team is hard working, creative, and goal oriented with a supportive team atmosphere. The successful candidate can expect focused mentoring and experiences to foster professional development.
Duties:
Provide technical expertise in the areas of pattern development, technical construction specification and fabrications to ensure all product is completed accurately and within specified timelines.
Drive problem-solving with cross-functional teams to proactively resolve pattern, construction, quality, finishing, findings, and systems issues.
Development and implement new and current fit blocks for traditional sampling and 3D design.
Adopt new skills to facilitate implementation of new technology, systems, and tools. Assist to identify and deploy best practices on team and cross functionally.
Develop technical fit of assigned categories.
Mentor factory technical designers to develop understanding of pattern and fit standards.
Produce accurate specification packages including sketch details, base size specifications, and graded measurements which adhere to established fit and construction standards.
Coordinate and lead fit sessions on body form and model to assess fit, proportion, and overall silhouette.
Review and resolve bulk production quality issues as needed.
Travel as needed to evaluate bulk goods and mentor suppliers.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design/Technical Design/Apparel Manufacturing.
5+ years Technical Design experience.
Excellent knowledge of production patternmaking, technical fit, and construction standards.
Proficient in Illustrator and Photoshop.
PLM and 3D sampling a plus.
