This position offers a flexible, hybrid working arrangement.
The Position Wilson Elser is looking for a strategic and detail-oriented Marketing Events Specialist to plan, produce, and execute top quality virtual and in-person events. In addition to experience in planning and executing events, the ideal candidate can demonstrate a strong background in email marketing strategy and a familiarity with email marketing platforms and CRMs. This position collaborates with the firm’s marketing and business development team, but also independently with firm lawyers to create and manage engaging events in support of firm objectives. This role has high visibility within the firm and significant interaction with external contacts and internal leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and direct virtual and in-person firm events. Maintain firm relationships with national industry organizations. Negotiate and secure sponsorships and firmwide memberships. Alert partnership to external speaking opportunities. Coordinate cobranded events with industry organizations. Manage firm client-facing events and client networking events in conjunction with major conferences including, site selection, contracts, catering, communication plan, invitations, registration, signage and swag, execution and invoices. Manage all aspects of the Wilson Elser Forum webinar platform:
Supervise the execution of webinars, including technology, email campaigns, reporting, CLE/CE credit, attorney presenter preparation, website and social media posting. Work closely with department leaders to identify attorneys and topics to promote key practice areas on the Forum platform. Develop and manage Forum calendar with thematic programming and stand-alone sessions. Create annual curriculum guide for WE Forum. Support co-branded webinars on the Forum platform. Learn webinar technology and be able to provide backup when necessary. Develop Marketing email strategy for events, including email scheduling and testing for best outcomes. Maintain event calendar of sponsorships, attendees, and speakers. Coordinate industry conference attendance, including managing pre-conference calls, circulating attendee lists, supplying signage, swag, ads, table registrations with practice team marketing managers. Partner with firm clients for client-specific webinars, including scheduling, technology, CLE/CE credit, catering, invitations/registrations. Monitor Marketing Events mailbox for WE Forum and event inquiries and non-billable event requests.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree. Minimum three years of event planning and project management experience. Experience producing corporate events, previous law firm experience preferred. Fluency with client relationship management (CRM) and email marketing/event invitation software, preferably HubSpot. Candidate must be service-oriented and able to work effectively with lawyers, staff, and vendors at all professional levels. Ability to manage numerous competing priorities, adapt quickly and with sound judgment to a variety of situations, and remain calm under pressure. Strong organizational skills with a heightened attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability and willingness to work overtime during busy periods, as well as for specific events (e.g., early morning or evening events).
A variety of factors are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands, other business and organizational needs, and other factors permitted by law. Final salary wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. This position is considered full-time and therefore qualifies for benefits including 401(k) retirement savings plan, medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
Salary Range $80,000 - $100,000 USD
